Tattoo Pt. 2- The underlying framework design

The underlying framework shown with the angel's linework superimposed... I tried to make the design have as much purpose as possible.. for example, having the angel's wings arc up and point to the passage in the top halo.

Gorgeous design. At first glance it reminded me of an Alphonse Mucha illustration. Love seeing these different steps into your process as well. Yum.

  5. Nice moves TK. Did you ink this one in flash? Unless this goes on Dave's back, he's going to have to buff up his forearm to fit in all that detail. Brutha isn't that buff. By the way,if your still in CO. when you read this, give Maryanne a hug for me.

    Peace.

  7. Hey Aug,
yup, inked in Flash and Illustrator both. I think Dave's tattoo artist is gonna have to do quite a bit of simplimafacation on the piece to fit in on his arm. In true obsessive geek artist fashion, I kinda just did it without thinking much about the size or shape of his arm. Oh well, I'll let the tattoo artist figure that out, that's what he's gettin paid for.

I'm in CO, Mission:Mary Anne Hug accomplished.
