Tattoo Pt. 2- The underlying framework design

The underlying framework shown with the angel's linework superimposed... I tried to make the design have as much purpose as possible.. for example, having the angel's wings arc up and point to the passage in the top halo.

The underlying design (shown without angel illustrations). I tried to design all the curves, shapes, and spacial relationships with a purpose... Lots of "infinity" symbols (figure 8's), equallateral spaces, etc...

It's finally finished! Tattoo design for my buddy David.

Been working on this thing for quite a while... This is a tattoo design that my friend David asked me to do for him. It's a design in memory of his father William who passed away a couple years ago.

I'm really happy with the results... and glad to finally be finished with it, and happy to have given the design to him. Once it's inked around his arm (it'll be a full forearm sleeve) I'll post photos, but it may be a while!

The final design that will wrap around the arm (the compass meets in the back of the arm). I'm sure I'll do more obsessive little tweaks, but it's 90% done. Posted by Picasa

Details of the tattoo's different areas.

More Spidey villians in the cartoony style... Posted by Picasa

Sketches of a sample I wanted to do... The trial of Sabertooth! And of course he gets loose and shreds everyone in the courthouse. Posted by Picasa

Sketches of Doc Ock from back in 2003... these turned into a Marvel sample, that year. I like drawing Doc Ock as a fat, angry piece of shit. Posted by Picasa

Spidey.. now with more THOOM! Posted by Picasa

This one's for Dev... the Rhino's biggest fan! Posted by Picasa

An old Hellboy fan drawing for Mike Mignola... that I presented to him at a convention... in 1996! Ten years ago.. damn.  Posted by Picasa

At one point I actually DID try to make Juggernaut look cool... you know what's REALLY cool? Finishing a drawing. Not that I'd know. Posted by Picasa

OK OK I'm finally updating! Quit bugging me, Memo!
